About me

Hi, I'm Louise and I decided to make this blog because it's been on my mind ever since my big move, and well and a bit before actually.
Well I'm 28 years old/young, which ever you prefer, although I would be happy if we could agree on the young part...
I'm attending College in hopes to one day becoming a teacher. When I'm not stuck in school or buried under homework I spend time with my housemates, and or hobbies.

We all enjoy playing role playing games, will shorten that down to RPG from now on..
Besides the RPG I love spending time outside with my hands buried in the ground, I like to paint/draw, knit, sew, and play computer games.
That's a bit about me, I hope you don't find it too confusing to read, else let me know and I will try and fix it!

Main reason for this blog is so my friends and family here in the States and Denmark can see what I am up to, as I did promise the people in Denmark updates from time to time. This is the best way I could think of, that did not involve Facebook.

This is my first blog, so if you think I am doing something wrong, or just fell like I could do it better feel free to let me know, there is always room for improvements.

The how and why I moved

I've often been asked why I would move from nice little Denmark to the States. I will tell it shortly as it's some time ago now.

A few years ago I was playing an online game called Star Wars Galaxies, to put it mildly I was addicted to that game. Sadly it has been closed down, but I still miss that game.

One day my Twi'lek Jedi was running around Coronet Spaceport minding her own business, when a stranger says "Hi". They started to talk on a regular basis, and ends up being lovers. Hrmm now that is pretty much what happened in the real world too.
To begin with it was, for me at least, very strange. I was interested in a guy I've never met except through the computer. I was glad Skype and MSN was free programs, else both of us would have a high phone bill.

May 2012 I went to Youngstown, Ohio to meet my boyfriend for the first time. When I left Denmark I was
very nervous, and for the fifteen hour long trip I couldn't sleep. When I finally got there, I was a zombie. So our first meeting was perhaps not as perfect as it should have been, but oh well, I did get flowers and a kiss.
I was there for a month and a half, and when I got back to Denmark things just went fast. I sold my stuff, quit my job and school, got rid of my apartment and moved back home to my parents.
In the following months I had quite a few things I needed to do, such as apply for a college and get a student visa among others. And it did take that long. There was a time when I wasn't sure things would be ready before August 2013, but luckily things got settled, sort of. Still have things today that is not all in place, "Life is not meant to be easy", as my mom always says.

13th of January 2013 my bags were packed, and I was ready to go to America, to narrow it down a bit, the state Massachusetts.

It's a long way to travel just to follow ones heart, but I have no regrets, and I am quite sure I will never have any.

Of course I miss my family and all my friends. And even though we live in a world with smart phones, internet, computers in every household, Skype and other free programs to keep in touch, it's not always easy. Denmark is six hours ahead of me, so when ever I have to talk with someone at home, I have to keep in mind when it's night and day. And all have work, school and other responsibilities during the day, so finding a time suited for all is pretty difficult from time to time. At least I think.
